The Ashburton Arms is located in the pretty South Hams village of West Charleton, approximately 2 miles from the famous estuary town of Kingsbridge (population 5,081). Kingsbridge has all high street facilities including banks, schools, out of town supermarkets, as well as its famous quay and marine harbour. To the south of the Ashburton Arms is the exquisite town of Salcombe, with its South Devon Heritage coast, to the west is Bigbury Bay and famous coastal villages such as Thurleston and Bigbury on Sea, and to the east Start Bay, Slapton Sands which leads to Dartmouth.
The area can be accessed via the A379 which connects to the A38 at South Brent, or the A381 to Buckfastleigh via Totnes.
This is a beautiful rolling Devon countryside area where estuaries and coastline meet.
The Inn has a strong roadside presence and is located in the centre of the village with passing trade from Dartmouth and Kingsbridge respectively. The property consists of stone elevations which have been whitewashed and accommodation is over ground and first floors with a pitched roof and a flat roof extension to the rear. Our vendor has paid much attention to the fabric of the property with renewals and upgrading throughout ownership.
